What is AVE?

Audio Visual Entrainment (AVE) uses eyesets to flash lights at the eyes and headphones to pulse tones to the ears at various frequencies from 1 to 25 Hz to influence brainwave activity. The brain speeds up or slows down to follow the stimuli.

How does AVE work?

These sound and light frequencies entrain the brain, synchronizing its rhythms to induce a meditative state. This process also increases blood flow to the brain and metabolizes glucose to improve the communication between neurons. Consistent use of the AVE system trains the brainwaves to respond appropriately in situational circumstances, often helping an individual to focus, improving sleep and mood. Ultimately, the session calms the Central Nervous System, promoting a meditative, optimal brain state.

What is AVE used for?

  • Academic Performance
  • Anxiety and Stress
  • Attention Deficit Disorder - with/without Hyperactivity (ADD/ADHD)
  • Depressed Mood
  • Pain
  • Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
  • Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD)
  • Seniors' Issues (including cognition, memory and balance)
  • Sleep
  • Sports Performance

Which AVE device is right for me?

This short video describes basic differences between the three DAVID Delight models.

DAVID Delight The Delight is the most easy-to-use and lowest cost device for people who want simplicity and large, easy-to-use session buttons. It has ten effective and popular sessions – two in each category: Feeling Better, Energize, Brain Booster, Sleep and Meditate.

DAVID Delight Plus The Delight Plus is much like the Delight, but with more sessions – 5 in each of the categories.  The extra sessions in the Delight Plus are particularly effective for people with more complex issues such as fibromyalgia and sleep disorders.

DAVID Delight Pro The Delight Pro has the same sessions as the Delight Plus, but also offers Cranio-Electro Stimulation (CES). The frequency of the CES sessions are linked to the frequency of the AVE sessions plus 100 Hz. You can use AVE by itself, CES by itself, or both together.

'Audio-Visual Entrainment: History and Physiological Mechanisms' by DAVID Delight creator David Siever.

Abstract: Since the discovery of photic driving by Adrian and Matthews in 1934, much has been discovered about the benefits of brain-wave entrainment (BWE) or audio-visual entrainment (AVE) as it is commonly known today. Studies are now available on the effectiveness of AVE in promoting relaxation, hypnotic induction and restoring somatic homeostasis, plus improving cognition, and for treating ADD, PMS, SAD, migraine headache, chronic pain, anxiety, depression and hypertension.
