Two 8mm gold cup style sensors and two spring loaded ear clip sensors. Terminated with a 1.5mm (.060) safety plug. Gold plated EEG leads.
Operating Principle:
A bipolar configuration consists of placing both of the active sensors on the brain sites generating EEG activity with the other on a relatively neutral point such as the earlobe. With this configuration the sensors will detect EEG activity from both sites and across an area between the sites. To date, the majority of clinical EEG feedback work has been with bipolar configurations.
Response Characteristics:
Clinical research indicates that the behavioral correlates of EEG activity are dependent, to some extent, upon the region(s) of the brain being monitored, e.g., variances in subjective state associated with specific EEG patters between the right and left hemispheres and between the frontal, parietal and occipital lobes.
