The Orion is a PC based incontinence biofeedback system complete with sensors and software.
The SRS Orion PC/12m System represents the state-of-the-art in biofeedback software and instrumentation for the treatment of stress, urge and mixed urinary incontinence. Significant instrument features include 4-channel EMG for comprehensive "profiling" of the pelvic floor musculature and the ability to monitor Respiration and Temperature. All measurements are highly accurate and reproducible. New ControlWorks V3.5 software features a modern Explorer-type interface, multimedia feedback, informative reports and and the ability to grow with you:
The SRS Medical Orion Platinum provides the ability to simultaneously monitor up to four muscle sites in order to comprehensively assess pelvic floor condition. Profiling typically utilizes (1) the SenseRx or Eisman-Tries Vaginal Sensor, (2) surface electrodes to monitor abdominal muscles and another accessory site, and (3-4) the Eisman-Tries MEP sensor to measure EMG activity in both the distal and proximal portions of the EAS (external anal sphincter) and levator ani muscles. By monitoring a diversity of muscle sites, profiling can identify the most relevant effector mechanism for each patient, increasing the efficiency of biofeedback training.
The SRS Medical Orion Platinum provides multiple instrument instrument modalities, including Respiration and Temperature Monitoring. Respiration feedback is used to teach coordination of breathing and muscle contraction, and is particularly useful for patients with a tendency to hold their breath and bear down (Valsalvas maneuver) when instructed to contract their pelvic floor muscle. Temperature is typically used for biofeedback-assisted relaxation training in order to cultivate lower autonomic arousal levels, which can be of particular benefit for patients with overactive bladder/urge UI or pelvic pain.
