Easily adjusted reward criteria. SOFTWARE THAT WORKS. And, unlike other EEG systems, you don't need to know computer programming to use the A620.
Using Dr. Joel F. Lubar's time tested protocol, you can be sure the A620 incorporates meaningful features not even contemplated in competitive instruments. The A620 is the most well thought-out and most thoroughly field-tested Neurofeedback System available. It has an enormous amout of fine-tuning that Joel Lubar has put into it, since his intention was to make it do all the things he felt the ideal system would do.
THE A620's REAL-TIME FEEDBACK ADVANTAGE
Some competitive instruments delay their EEG feedback for up to several seconds after a change in the patient's physiological state. Decades of research in biofeedback and animal operant conditioning have conclusively demonstrated that feedback delayed is feedback denied. The A620's exclusive real-time feedback allows your patients to associate mental and physiological states with EEG changes as they occur. EXCLUSIVE SUSTAINED EEG ACTIVITY TRAINING FEATURE
Only the A620 EEG uses both the level and duration of EEG activity as criteria to provide rewards. In any EEG, short-lived formations of the desired brainwaves occur even without conscious control by the patient. With other, less sophisticated Neurofeedback instruments, patients receive meaningless rewards for this normal EEG activity. The A620's exclusive Sustained EEG Activity Training Feature accelerates training by ensuring rewards are not provided for transitory EEG occurrences, but only for meaningful, sustained EEG activity. COMPLETE TREATMENT, DATA ANALYSIS AND PATIENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
All session protocols, session data, and patient files are managed automatically by the A620. To run a session, simply select "Run Session" from the Main Menu, enter the patient's PIN number and begin the session. It's really that easy.
At the session's end, enter your session notes and observations. All session information is stored for review, analysis, graphing and/or print-out for third-party reimbursement. FLEXIBLE SYSTEM CAPABILITIES
The A620 EEG allows EEG in training of one or two frequency ranges from 1 to 32 Hz. For example, you can train an increase in beta activity, while simultaneously training a decrease in theta activity. Or, train any single bandpass, including alpha or SMR.
The A620 EEG is entirely controlled from your computer keyboard, or mouse. Its exclusive "Fast Key" feature accesses the most commonly used software functions with the ease of a single key stroke. It includes all required operating accessories, including both monopolar and bipolar electrode cables. Compact and light weight, it is conveniently portable. Optional accessories include an impedance meter and the SoundBlaster Audio Synthesizer System. OVER 500 BIOFEEDBACK DISPLAYS
Only Autogenic's A620 EEG has over 500 attention-getting real-time biofeedback displays.
* The Puzzler has 100 different puzzles divided into 10 subject categories (i.e., sports, animals, fitness, etc.). A piece of the puzzle moves into its correct position as a score is earned. The inherent challenge of puzzle-solving helps gently encourage the patient to use and improve their concentration skills. There are five levels of difficulty to maintain the patient's interest. * The Maze is an intriguing game-like display which has five mazes of increasing difficulty. A fish progresses through the maze as rewards are earned. * The Bar Graph displays real-time changes in your patient's EEG. * The Light Bulb is a simple display which uses red and green light bulbs to indicate that reward criteria are being met. * The Swimming Fish is a simple display in which a fish swims around a track as rewards are earned. It is useful for first introducing the patient to biofeedback. * The Multi-Color Wheel has sixteen segments which fill in with different colors as rewards are earned. Once all sixteen segments are filled, the Wheel recycles, filling in with different colors. * The Waveform Display shows the patient's own EEG signal, for use as real-time patient feedback.
INVALUABLE CLINICIAN DISPLAYS INCLUDE:
The Clinician Display provides essential information for individualized reward settings for each patient. By reviewing it periodically, training criteria can be adjusted to keep the patient challenged.
The Power Spectrum Analysis displays where there is excessive or deficient power in the EEG signal. This provides the information to determine the bandpasses to reward and inhibit.
