Addicted: Using Neurofeedback to Treat Opioid Addiction

Neurofeedback or “brain mapping” is a way to treat the opioid crisis by stopping the addiction at the source, instead of just treating the symptoms. Tennessee Neurofeedback is using this to treat all sorts of conditions like ADD, anxiety, depression, and addiction.

Brain mapping is a measure of the brain’s electrical activity that can pinpoint challenges the brain may be facing. Owner of Tennessee Neurofeedback KaKa Ray says they use this information to teach the brain to function normally.

“It takes the parts of our brain or the brain as a whole and takes it from dysregulated to regulated,” Ray said.
