The Inner Balance Coherence Plus makes it easy to add guided HRV training to your daily routine. Just clip on the sensor, connect to your device, and use the feedback to practice breathing, track changes in your heart rhythm, and build a more consistent relaxation routine.
Real-Time HRV Biofeedback Sensor
The ear sensor measures pulse-wave data and converts it into heart rate variability information for guided breathing and coherence training.
HeartMath App Included
Includes lifetime access to the HeartMath app with guided techniques, structured programs, educational content, and real-time session feedback.
Personalized Coherence Training
Watch your coherence score update during practice as you explore breathing exercises and learn how your heart rhythm responds in real time.
The Inner Balance Coherence Plus is an HRV biofeedback sensor designed for use with HeartMath apps. It measures pulse data from the ear and converts that information into heart rate variability (HRV) data and a real-time coherence score.
The system can be used for guided breathing and HRV biofeedback exercises, with session data displayed in the HeartMath app.
Heart rate variability, or HRV, refers to the variation in time between heartbeats. HRV patterns change in response to factors such as breathing, activity, and autonomic nervous system activity.
The Inner Balance Coherence Plus measures pulse-wave data using an optical ear sensor. HeartMath software analyzes the resulting heart rate and HRV data and calculates a coherence score that updates during the session.
Users can view changes in their HRV patterns and coherence score while practicing breathing or other HeartMath exercises.
The Inner Balance Coherence Plus uses optical photodetectors to sample the pulse wave at 500 Hz.
Heart rate and HRV data are processed by HeartMath software and used to calculate a real-time coherence score that updates every 5 seconds.
Additional hardware features include:
The HeartMath system uses HRV biofeedback to provide users with real-time information about changes in their heart rhythm patterns.
HeartMath's proprietary algorithm analyzes heart rate and HRV data and calculates a coherence score. Users can observe how breathing patterns and other exercises affect that score during a session.
Purchase of the Inner Balance Coherence Plus sensor includes a lifetime subscription to the HeartMath app.
The app includes HRV and coherence measurements, guided exercises, educational material, courses, learning programs, audio content, and structured practices.
The app also contains HeartMath exercises covering topics such as breathing, attention, stress management, communication, decision-making, patience, forgiveness, and self-assessment.
Requires Bluetooth 4.0 or higher.
The Inner Balance Bluetooth connection uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). According to HeartMath, the Bluetooth module operates at an output power of 0.5 mW or less.
The Bluetooth transmitter is located in the module that attaches to the user's clothing rather than in the ear sensor.
