They can be but you would also need matching electrodes for the ears. there are more appropriate sensors for the WIZ devices that are sintered silver chloride.

Nick Dogras at Neurofield recommends the 12mm Sintered Silver/Silver Chloride disc with 60 inch Leads - 2 Pack (Black & Red) for tACS/tDCS with his Neurofield device.
