Elefix V EEG electrode paste is low impedance, highly conductive, and specially formulated to stick the electrodes on skin without additional adhesive disks.
Elefix Key Benefits
Lowers skin/electrode impedance to support stable EEG/EMG recordings.
Holds surface electrodes in place without extra adhesive disks.
Water-based with sodium chloride as the conductive material; remains pliable and conductive
during
recordings.
Not GHS-classified as hazardous under the SDS; intended for external use only.
When to Use
Use Elefix when you need reliable, low-impedance contact between surface electrodes and skin. It's ideal wherever a
viscous, stay-put conductive medium helps stabilize signals and keep electrodes in place.
Routine scalp EEG and long-term EEG where low impedance and reliable adhesion are needed.
Surface EMG exams using cup/disc electrodes.
As the conductive medium under cup electrodes (place paste in the cup, apply, then secure per facility
protocol).
Application Instructions
Prep the skin per facility policy (clean and dry; apply skin-prep only if indicated). Follow your equipment
manual.
For cup electrodes: place a small amount of Elefix in the cup, apply to the skin, then secure the lead per
protocol.
Check impedances and signal quality; re-seat any sites showing poor contact.
Do not reuse paste; close the cap after each use.
Clean Up
From skin: wipe away with water or lukewarm water; wash hands thoroughly after use.
