A cold sterilizing soaking solution recommended for disinfecting Electro-Caps. It requires no dilution, and will not damage cap fabric or the electrodes. One quart size.
MetriCide 28 is a long life, 2.5% buffered glutaraldehyde that can be used and reused as a sterilant and high-level disinfectant for up to 28 days.
MetriCide is intended for use in a tray system with a variety of noncritical, semi-critical, and critical devices – including lensed instruments, anesthesia equipment, respiratory therapy equipment, rubber objects, plastic objects, sharp instruments, thermometers, and flexible fiber optic endoscopes.
MetriCide is a 2.6% glutaraldehyde solution which, when activated, attains a pH of between 6.5 and 8.5, and can be used for the sterilization and high-level disinfection of heat-sensitive medical devices for up to 14 days.
MetriCide is a sterilant when used or reused, according to the Directions for Use, up to 14 days at 25 °C, assuming the Minimum Effective Concentration (MEC) of glutaraldehyde, as measured by a chemical indicator; remains within acceptable parameters and other conditions of use are met, with an immersion time of at least 10 hours.
MetriCide is a high-level disinfectant when used or reused, according to the Directions for Use, up to 14 days at 25 °C, assuming the Minimum Effective Concentration (MEC) of glutaraldehyde, as measured by a chemical indicator; remains within acceptable parameters and other conditions of use are met, with an immersion time of at least 45 minutes.
MetriCide is intended for use in a tray system with a variety of semi-critical and critical devices – including lensed instruments, anesthesia equipment, respiratory therapy equipment, rubber objects, plastic objects, sharp instruments, thermometers, and flexible fiber-optic endoscopes.
INDICATIONS FOR USESterilization: This solution should be used for the sterilization of heat sensitive medical equipment for which alternative methods of sterilization are not suitable. Medical equipment which should always be sterilized is that which is categorized as critical (i.e.,used in procedures in which contact will be made with tissue that is normally considered sterile).
High-Level disinfection: This solution should be used for the high-level disinfection of heat sensitive medical equipment for which sterilization is not practical. Medical equipment should always be subjected to high-level disinfection or sterization is that whci will be used in procedures categorized as semi-critical (i.e.,used in procedures in which contact will be made with mucous membranes or other body surfaces which are not normally considered sterile).
